Welcome to the City of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department!

MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the City of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department is to provide an excellent variety of leisure opportunities to enhance the individual's quality of life through exceptional programs in attractive, safe, and well-maintained parks and facilities.

This department is divided into five major divisions:  Recreation Program Services, Parks Facilities and Maintenance,   Outdoor Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Zoo, and the Golf Course Division.

The Parks & Facilities Division maintains over 4,000 acres of park, green way and public green spaces throughout the city as well as the City's numerous sofftball fields, sports arenas, areas of public art, and the downtown waterfront on both sides of the Tennessee River. The City has close to 70 public parks, offes numerous programs and amenities at the city's 16 community recreation centers, 2 public golf courses, 4 public swimming pools,  the Chattanooga Zoo, the Therapeutic Recreation Program, Chattanooga Fitness Center,  the city's skatepark called "Chattown Skate Park", 2 off-leash dog parks, 20 local ballfields, and over 70 tennis courts.

The Warner Park and Summit of Softball complexes and the Champions Club Tennis Complex have made Chattanooga a destination for national, regional, and local sports tournaments and leagues.

To insure that our programs and facilities are more inclusive and accessible for residents of 'all' abilities, the city has a Therapeutic Recreation Program.  The Therapeutic Recreation Program provides a wide variety of activities that have been adapted to engage individuals with special needs and disabilities and serves as community partner with numerous rehabilitative and support services. You will be amazed at all the fun and exciting recreation, fitness, leisure, outdoor, sports, aquatics, and enrichment programs this department has to offer. 

And, if you love the great outdoors click on Outdoor Chattanooga!  This exciting division can connect you to paddling, hiking, biking, rock climbing, rowing, disc golf, and major events that feature this areas natural beauty.

OPEN
Saturday 9-4-10
Pool: 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Spray Ground:
12:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday & Monday
1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

(After Labor Day, Warner Park will be closed)
Except for the Doggie Paddle
Sept. 11th noon - 3:00 p.m.
