 Posted Date: 8/10/2006 Closing/Review Date: Continuous Recruitment Recruitment #: #06-C1H080-01 Position Title: Teacher for Head Start & Early Head Start Department: Human Services Division: Head Start/Early Head Start Salary Range: $14,687 to $23,587 Annually Depending on Credentials, Degree & Experience License: Class D Driver's License Screening: Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be considered. (06-0089 SDR/VH) Examples of Duties: Provides developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned children and carries out supplementary activities related to the education component; plans programs and provides an optimal environment for the curriculum; writes and implements lesson plans; involves parents in the education experiences of their child and encourages them to become involved in all aspects of the program; supervises and trains Teacher Assistants and Parent Volunteers and performs other related duties. Minimum Qualifications: Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) with the stipulation of acquiring ECE Degree by September 1, 2007, and a minimum of 2 years experience or AA or BS in ECE or related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience with 3 or 4 year old children in a pre-school classroom setting. Student teaching while attaining a degree in ECE fulfills the requirement of 1 year of experience. Must be fluent in the language used by the families served.
