![]() Posted Date: 2/23/2007 Closing/Review Date: Closing date is March 23, 2007 Recruitment #: 07-C01403-01 Position Title: Administrative Coordinator Department: Parks & Recreation Division: Outdoor Chattanooga Salary Range: $25,964 - $39,946 License: N/A Screening: A rating of training and experience will be administered. 07-0021;nk/vh Examples of Duties: Performs bookkeeping, purchasing, and administrative duties for the Outdoor Chattanooga Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. Specific functions include: Receiving and processing invoices, billing statements and documents; tracking expenses and monitoring budget; preparing purchase statements; invoicing for services and tracking invoice information; purchasing offices supplies and services, working directly with vendors and resolving purchasing-related issues; typing and preparing various written forms and documents; maintaining files, data base information and monitoring for accuracy; greeting visitors and answering phones and e-mail; scheduling appointments; scheduling facility use and renting of facility; assisting with organizing and implementing special events; maintaining and updating Outdoor Chattanooga web site; attending and supporting community recreation events; organizing and maintaining a volunteer base; and performing other related duties. Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to an associate degree with training emphasis in office administration, supplemented by one year of office administrative work experience including bookkeeping, purchasing and preparing various documents. Experience using software to develop or update web pages is desired. Event planning and organization experience is preferred. Knowledge and interest in outdoor recreation activities, either as a hobby or as a vocation, is also desirable.
