A city's path towards a healthy, sustainable and environmentally friendly future is loaded with roadblocks. But "Greening" is a path we all must take! Here is your chance to get involved and take an active part in the greening of this great city.
Chattanooga Green includes 17 Action Teams. Each team is responsible for making their corresponding section of the Climate Action Plan a reality.  The teams were first develop at the Chattanooga Green Community Commitment Event (Earth Day 2009) but recruitment is ongoing.

GET INVOLVED!

Looking to make Chattanooga's environmental and sustainability goals a reality?  What is your speciality?  What do you feel most passionate about? Folloiw the steps below to get involved with Chattanooga Green.
  • Under the four general categories are a total of seventeen teams
  • Choose the team you’d like to serve on.
  • Click on the link.  On the e-mail page, give us the Action Team, your name and email address. You can also include (but its not necessary) a short description of yourself and your experience.
  • If you’re unsure, call us at 423-668-2274 or e-mail mcallister_b@mail.chattanooga.gov with a description of your general interests and we’ll help find a team for you
  • We’ll send you an e-mail soon with further information on your team's activities.
Remember, experience is not a prerequisite and you don't have to be "green" to be involved.  The goals are big and there is opportunity for everyone.  Everyone must be involved if we are going to reverse our unsustainable habitats and create a City, and a Planet, that is prosperous and healthy for all generations.
We are asking for a COMMITMENT to work together to solve local problems that plague the planet.   If, at this time,  you only want to receive updates from Chattanooga Green send an e-mail with "add me to e-mail list"  in the subject line. We'll send you updates and will not distribute your information without your consent.  You can also follow us on twitter (www.twitter.com/chattagreen) or on facebook.
