![]() Councilman Dan Page, was elected to the Council in 2002 (his first venture into politics) and became Council Chairman in April, 2007. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Dan was founder and former president of Greenleaf Health Systems. He grew up in the Avondale-East Chattanooga area and graduated from Central High School. He earned a Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and completed postgraduate studies at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Mr. Page resides with his wife of 43 years, Shirley Lowe Page, in the Hixson area. They are actively involved at Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Page has had a successful business career while raising two sons, Brent and Brian, who graduated from Chattanooga public schools -- Hixson High School and Chattanooga High School of the Performing Arts. He is a Rotarian, a Trustee Emeritus of Newberry College, has been a board member of the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy and the North River YMCA. He served on the core group that initiated the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Chattanooga and has been involved with Northside Neighborhood House. He is committed to serving the district by listening to citizens and providing them leadership with a strong voice. He recognizes public service as both a privilege and a serious responsibility. Councilman Page seeks to encourage better community planning and to promote a strong business climate for Chattanooga.
