Introduction

Mayor Ron Littlefield announced the creation of the Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Film Commission in 2006 as an outreach of the City of Chattanooga Department of Education, Arts & Culture. The Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Film Commission was recognized by Governor Phil Bredesen through the Tennessee State Film, Entertainment, & Music Commission as the fourth and final division to complete representation of film in the State of Tennessee.

The Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Film Commission serves as an office providing access to information, government permits, a locations database, and facilitation of needs to be addressed or responded to through the State Film Commission.

Since the beginning of the Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Film Commission, we are thrilled by the increased level of activity, as well as by the talent, services, and facilities available for any filmmaker to have a successful filming experience from start to finish.

Consider the Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Film Commission as one of your first stops in filmmaking. For the first time ever in Chattanooga the local film community is organized and poised to assist any filmmaker.
