Our beautiful setting and newly finished interior make Heritage House an ideal venue for both formal and informal gatherings. The house is available for rentals between the hours of 8:00 am and 11:00 pm. The rental fee is $50 per hour ($500 for 12 hours). A $150 refundable damage deposit is also required with the rental payment. For additional information or to request a contract, please contact us at (423) 855-9474. Coming Events!

Calling All Ambi Artists
Ambi Artists are people who want to be more creative. The Ambi Artist group brings together people who create in any medium: writing, painting, sculpting, ceramics, photography, music, film, design, fabric, etc. The group dynamic is based on Julia Cameron's book series “The Artist’s Way” and its creative clusters. Ambi Artist gatherings are fluid, intentionally unstructured events where creative people get together to meet and interact with each other. This open interaction sparks creative inspiration, collaboration, empathy and more to light the creative fires. Ambi Artists meet at Heritage House on the first Thursday of each month, 6:00-8:00 pm (EST).
Creative Projects
In addition to the Ambi Artist gatherings, we are starting a series of creative projects at Heritage House. Ambi Artists and other community members are invited to join. Participants in these projects will learn many skills and create unique items, some of which will reside at Heritage House. Tomboy Tools and master stained glass artist Daisy Pratt will be partnering with us on the first of these projects. Ms. Pratt will guide participants on the design and creation of a stained glass window, which will be installed on the landing at Heritage House. Ms. Pratt may be one of the only U.S. artists who have studied under the masters at Kunstglaswerk und Kunstglasmaleri in Darmstadt, Germany. John and Candace TeHennepe of Tomboy Tools, and Chris Holley owner of Phoenix Spirit Art and Manager of Heritage House, will head up a project using salvaged items from the renovation of Heritage House. Participants will create functional furniture and other useful and beautiful items. Participants will learn to use a variety of tools and gain a new perspective on recycling. A metal, wood and glass hall table, blanket chests, occasional tables and a divider screen are among the proposed projects.
For more information about Ambi Artists or our creative projects contact Heritage House at (423) 855-9474 or e-mail Chris Holley at holley_c@mail.chattanooga.gov
