 Property Tax
 The Property Tax Department manages the collection of current and delinquent personal and real property in addition to stormwater fees and state assessed properties. Taxes are based on the appraised values placed on residential, industrial and commercial properties by the Hamilton County Assessor of Property. Taxes are calculated per $100 of assessed value multiplied by the tax rate set by the City of Chattanooga. The tax rate is set by the City Council each year as part of the annual budget process. |
