Alton Park BrownfieldsAssessment Community Meeting

WHAT: Community meeting for the Alton Park Community-wide Brownfields Assessment Project

WHO:  Residents, Business Owners, Property Owners, and Other Stakeholders in the Alton Park Community

WHY:  To present the results of the Phase I Environmental Site Assessments of the eight sites selected by the community in the last public meeting.

WHERE:  Calvin Donaldson Elementary School, 927 West 37th Street

WHEN:     Monday, March 10, at 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

In 2006, the City of Chattanooga was awarded a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct community-wide Brownfield Assessments for the Alton Park community.  Involving as many different stakeholders in the community as possible is an important goal of this project.  Those stakeholders include residents, community groups, property owners, business owners, developers, and various departments within the City of Chattanooga.
