Life Preservers Donated to CFD
![]() 3/13/2009
The Chattanooga Area Safari Club International donated six inflatable life preservers to the Chattanooga Fire Department today. The high-tech personal floatation devices will be worn by Chattanooga firefighters who are assigned to the fire-rescue boat. Captain Chris Willmore says the advantage with these life preservers is that they are very lightweight and comfortable, and will inflate automatically if the firefighter falls in the water. The Chattanooga Area Safari Club International is an environmental conservation organization that has made similar donations to other agencies such as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the Elk Restoration Project.
