Chattanooga, Tennessee – There will be no change in garbage collection scheduled for Memorial Day (Monday, May 25).  “If your collection day is a Monday, your garbage will be picked up on Monday even if it is a holiday,” said Justin Holland, City of Chattanooga Sanitation Manager.  “In the past, garbage collection that was scheduled for Memorial Day and most other holidays was collected on a following day of the week but we are changing our schedule to better meet resident’s needs.  The only holidays that will see a change in garbage collection schedules hereafter are Thanksgiving and Christmas.”

Refuse Collection Centers will be open on Monday, May 25. Recycling Convenience Centers will be closed on Monday, May 25. If you are unsure of your garbage collection pick-up day, please call 311 (425-6311).
