Minority Health Fair

Over 100+ vendors will offer information, screenings, give-a-ways, and hands-on fitness fun at at this year's Minority Health Fair on Saturday, August 15th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Eastgate Town Center.  The Eastgate Town Center is located at 5900 Brainerd Road.

This is the 7th year for this exciting fair and the number of people who have pre-registered to attend has doubled over last year.
There will be on-site registration available.  Organizers are expecting 1,200+ attendees and 400+ volunteers at this year's event.  

There are close to 200 people who have pre-registered for the 1-mile Fun Walk at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Eastgate Town center parking lot.   

The City's Parks and Recreation Department and Wellness Centers will be there to distribute the new Parks Directory/Map, health information, and Fall Adult Softball Leagues sign-up information.  Vendor participants "Pep-Rally" will occur around 8:30 am on Saturday morning near the stage area.

Marketing is in full swing.  Yard signs have been placed in targeted neighborhoods, 80+ letter mailed to local churches, commercial airing on TV3, print ad in Women's Way Journal and Chattanooga Chronicle, radio/TV interviews.
