National Trails Day Event at Enterprise South Nature Park

Saturday, June 6th
is National Trails Day and to celebrate the City of Chattanooga and the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Departments are hosting a guided bike ride and hike at the Enterprise South Nature Park at 9:00  a.m.

The event  is free and outdoor enthusiasts are welcome and encouraged to bring their own bikes and take a tour of the park's natural areas. Participants must pre-register by June 3rd Check in will be at 8:30 a.m. at the Enterprise South Main Entrance on Bonny Oaks (across from Redoubt Soccer fields). The tours will start at 9:00 a.m. sharp!  The first 50 people to register will get a t-shirt!

The Hamilton County Parks crews are working hard creating nature trails and signage, the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) volunteers are working on off-road biking areas, and the City's Recreation Department programing specialists are coordinating educational, nature,and fitness activities.

The Nature Park is expected to be open to the general public in late 2010.
