The Social Services Department is comprised  of a number of programs which enable households experiencing short-term crisis situation to address personal, economic and environmental challenges.   The social services employees interviews and assesses applicants' s  needs and formulates plans of services for the family or individual.  The needs of the applicant are met through the various programs and funding sites based on eligiblity criteria established for the programs.  The Social Services Department is one of the major providers of social services to low income and special needs residents in our community through collaboration and by acting as a funding partner with state, federal and philanthropic sources
