Facilities and ProgramsChattanooga Parks and Recreation Department provides a wide variety of educational and recreational activities throughout a network of well-maintained parks and public facilities. The department is divided into two major divisions: Program Services and Parks & Facilities. Sports, arts and cultural activities operate through Program Services, while the Parks & Facilities division oversees park activities and maintenance of the city's recreational facilities. The Chattanooga Parks & Recreation Department operates 15 community centers, two public golf courses, fitness center, skatepark, tennis complex, 4 aquatic centers, Chew Chew Dog Park, and the Chattanooga Zoo.To insure that our programs and facilities are more inclusive and accessible for residents of 'all' abilities, we have added a "Therapeutic Recreation" Division. The Therapeutic Recreation Division provides a wide variety of activities that have been adapted to engage individuals with special needs and disabilities and serves as community partner with numerous rehabilitative and support services..
