Muntjac (Muntiacus reevesi)
These tiny deer have canine teeth that protrude from the upper jaw and can reach lengths of over one inch!  When frightened the muntjac makes a sound like a barking dog, earning it the name “barking deer.”
Range: Asia from India to China, from the tropical forests up to an altitude of 10000 feet.

Bali Myna (Leucopsar rothschildi)
There are only 6 of these critically endangered birds left in the wild; they have been on the brink of extinction since the early 1990’s. Illegal capture for the pet trade has been the primary reason for the decline of the species.
Range: Limited to the island of Bali in Indonesia
Diet: Caterpillars, ants, termites and other insects, also plant seeds and fruits.

Tibetan Frog Eyed Geckos (Teratoscincinae roborwaski)
When threatened, this gecko raises its tail and waves it back and forth, causing the scales to rattle.
Range: Western China
Diet: insects, especially crickets

Vietnamese Centipede  (Scolopendra subspinipes)
Range: Southeast Asia
Diet: Young eat small crickets, but adults may consume anything smaller than themselves, including small mice.

Elongated Tortoise (Indotestudo elongata)
This tortoise doesn’t seem to enjoy direct sunlight or basking like other Chelonian (turtle and tortoise) species.
Range: Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, south China, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and Kampuchea.
Diet: Omnivorous (snails, slugs and worms, fruit and vegetables)
