Pools

General Information

The Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department has two outdoor aquatic facilities and three indoor aquatic facilities.  Over the past few years, the city opened three indoor pool facilities giving residents the opportunity to take water fitness classes and swim lessons year round.

Two of those indoor pools are located at the Brainerd and South Chattanooga Recreation Complexes. Each of the pools at the Brainerd and South Chattanooga Recreation Complexes are ADA Accessible.

The third aquatic facility available to city residents is at the North River YMCA.  The partnership between the North River YMCA and the City of Chattanooga gives residents north of the river in North Chattanooga and Hixson a location they can swim and take classes without joining the YMCA.  The YMCA agreed to give city residents the use of the swimming pool at a discounted rate of 3.00 for children ages 17 & under, 5.00 for adults, and 10.00 for families.  The use of the Y's additional facilities will cost the regular daily rate.  For more information call:  877-3517.

New Admission Fee at the City's Public Pools are: $1.00 for children ages 17 and under  $2.00 for Adults

Water Fitness Classes at both the Brainerd and South Chattanooga Pools are $2.00 per class per person.

Please remember when using any of the city’s public pools at Warner Park, Carver, Brainerd and South Chattanooga, proper swim attire is required; no diving or head first entries to the pools; and, towels are not provided.  Adult supervision is recommended at all times.
