Descriptions

The Chattanooga Zoo has educational programs that can be taught at the zoo or brought to you! Children participating in these programs will meet animal ambassadors and their pets. These onsite/offsite programs include Biofacts, a cultural object, worksheet, and principles of conservation. These program presentations generally last 20 to 30 minutes.

We have some great upcoming Homeschool and Preschool Programs coming up throughout the year, so make sure to check back often and register!

January 2008

Homeschool Program: “Home Sweet Home” – January 15 (10:00am – 12:00pm and 1:30pm – 3:30pm)

This class will explore how zoos design and build animal exhibits. The cost is $7.00 for members and $9.00 for non-members and is held in the Zoo’s Warner Family Education Center. Call (423) 697-1387 to reserve your spot!
