: Volunteer

Volunteers are welcome year-round during normal zoo hours and for special events. Husbandry Volunteers help with animal care, feeding, and general zoo keeper duties. Docents get to interact with the public about our animals and our efforts at conservation.

Look for our volunteers around the zoo - they're wearing blue staff shirts with red nametags and are always working hard!

Requirements:

· You must be at least 15 years old to volunteer.

· You must fill out the required paperwork, which can be obtained at the front entrance desk.

· You'll need to come to Volunteer Orientation

The Chattanooga Zoo is a great place to do community service with your scout troop or school group. Just call us and let us know when you can help. Groups can plant flowers throughout the zoo and help with special events!
