Brush Collection:

Preparing Brush & Leaves for Collection
Brush collection includes only wood waste set out by the individual home or property occupant. Wood waste is defined as tree limbs and branches (6 feet or less in length, and 6 inches or less in diameter), brush trimmings, branches and shrubs. Stumps are not included.  Brush piles should not exceed 96 cubic feet (4 feet wide by 4 feet high and 6 feet in length). Loose leaves should be set out separately from wood waste. This service is provided to each neighborhood monthly.

City crews will not collect materials generated by commercial tree cutters or contractors. Proper disposal is the responsibility of the property owner or contractor. Examples of these items are building materials, old carpet, roofing materials, bagged garbage and hazardous materials.

Brush may not be set out more than 7 days before the scheduled collection date. Residents/property owners who set out brush more than 7 days prior to collection, or after their street has been serviced, will be subject to citation for violation of this policy.

Leaves should be placed at the curb in a pile separate from brush and other wood waste. All set-outs must be away from utility poles, mailboxes, or other structures. The materials can be bagged or may be set out loose. Leaves will be collected during the regular brush collection schedule and during special leaf collection days during the leaf season.

Grass clippings must be bagged.

City crews will only collect brush and wood waste during the regular brush collection schedule. Click on the GIS Map link or go to the service schedule page determine your pickup area and day.
