SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The following will be enforced beginning July 1, 2010:

1)      Unless given Special Permission, to do otherwise, All Temporaries and Services installed in the City of Chattanooga will adhere to the EPB specifications. See Attached. Copies of the attached drawings will be available at the Inspection Office as well (1250 Market Street, suite 100)

2)      AFCI’s will no longer be required to be installed in a panel change out to existing wiring only

3)      The City of Chattanooga adopted the 2008 NEC July 1, 2010.

Before digging in the parks or erecting a tent with stakes longer than 1 foot, you must notify the Tennessee One Call to mark public utilities and Chattanooga Parks Maintenance to mark any private utilities located within the potential digging area.

Inspector District Interactive Map

When you want to know who your inspector is, just use the Inspector District Interactive Map. 
  • Open the map by clicking on the link above
  • Click on the 'Find Address' tab at the upper left
  • Enter your address (ex: 1250 Market St)
  • In the 'Map Contents' box, click on the plus (+) next to Land_Development
  • Click on a box next to an inspection type and your inspector's name will appear on the map
