Office hours of operation are Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays), from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. including the lunch hour. Inspection hours of operation are Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays), from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Permits are not accepted for processing after 4 p.m. We accept checks, money orders and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard Only). We do not accept Cash.

WHAT'S NEW!

Integrated Voice Recognition (I.V.R.) System for Inspections

When you want to call in your inspections, please dial (423) 643-5879 and follow the recorded instructions. Our new I.V.R. system will route your inspection request to the appropriate inspector for the following day. Have your permit number handy as you will need it to request an inspection. You may also hear the status of an inspection, re-schedule or cancel inspections from the I.V.R. as well.

Inspector District Interactive Map

When you want to know who your inspector is, just use the Inspector District Interactive Map.

Open the map by clicking on the link above
Click on the 'Find Address' tab at the upper left
Enter your address (ex: 1250 Market St)
In the 'Map Contents' box, click on the plus (+) next to Land_Development
Click on a box next to an inspection type and your inspector's name will appear on the map
