Plans for new buildings and additions shall include the location of the proposed building or structure and all existing buildings or structures on the site (show square footage of each building or structure). Also, show parking layout, erosion control, storm water detention (if applicable), and drawings shall be to scale. Number of plans required for review: Three (3) full sets; Five (5) Civil sets. Further instructions and forms are available in our Standard Operating Instructions for Plans Review. ATTENTION! ALL structures located in the 100-year Flood Zone shall require foundation plans showing flood vents, size and location of vents, and finished floor elevations.
Pre-Submittal Meetings We recommend that if you will be submitting non-residential plans for review or if you have questions about any proposed project that you contact our office to schedule a Pre-Submittal Meeting. The pre-submittal meeting is where Plans Review, Traffic Engineering, Stormwater, Planning, Fire Marshall, Engineering, Urban Forestry, Landscaping and Zoning professionals meet with anyone interested to assist with project development prior to formally submitting their plans for review. We welcome owners, architects, contractors, and developers to this venue to discuss your project and explain the codes and requirements. These meetings are not intended to replace the review process and no permits will be approved at this meeting. Plans must be submitted and reviewed separately.
