Trash Flash is an on-call curbside collection service, which collects only large, bulky items such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, water heaters, BBQ grills, and old carpet. This service is provided for occupied residences only. Vacant properties will not be serviced. When items are ready for pick-up, the occupying resident must call 3-1-1 to request collection. Residents shall contact 3-1-1 prior to, or immediately after placing items on the curb for collection.
Trash flash will not collect hazardous materials, household garbage, auto parts, building materials, gas or propane tanks, tires, or other items that could be hazardous to public works employees, the general public, or collection equipment.
Place items separate from household items and at least 3 ft. away from other stationary objects, on-street parking areas, drainage clean-outs, and as near as practical to the roadway in front of the premises without blocking the roadway, any sidewalk or drainage ditch.
Sway Car Trash Trailer
Sway Cars are available to property owners and non-profit organizations twice a year, at no cost, by reservation. The sway car may be reserved for a 24-hour period or over a weekend by calling 3-1-1.
Acceptible items for Sway Cars include wood waste and trash items, such as old carpet, drywall, lumber, mattresses, building materials, clothing, books and small appliances.
Non-acceptable items for Sway Cars include bricks, concrete, dirt, sand, shingles, tree stumps, hazardous materials, sewage, dead animals, household garbage, tires, or other items that could be hazardous to public works employees, the general public, or collection equipment. Sway cars are only available to occupied residences.
These trailers are not available for use by for-profit businesses, contractors, or landlords. A "Hold Harmless Agreement" must be signed by the property owners before the sway car is delivered.
