Hours of operation:

 Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., except only the 2nd Saturday of   month.  The 2nd Saturday of each month is reserved for Household Hazardous Waste.  (Note: This is done one Saturday/month, not every other Saturday.)

 3925 N Hawthorne behind Police Services Center off Amnicola Highway

Type of wood accepted:

 Raw natural wood, brush and leaves.  Pallets are no longer accepted.  
 Cost to dump:  $13.00/ton minimum charge:  $6.50

Types of wood not accepted:

Glued wood, wood with nails,  treated wood, paneling, plywood, railroad ties, painted wood, pallets and nothing over 6 ft in length.

City does not unload wood from the trucks.   City will load mulch.

ALL LOADS MUST BE TARPED BEFORE DEPARTURE.

Mulch:

Free mulch is available for CITY residents ONLY.  Limited to one normal pickup truck load per visit. 

Additional loads will be charged:  Mulch:  $7.68/ton 

Cost for mulch to businesses and/or anyone besides CITY residents (this would include County Residents, Georgia Residents, Alabama Residents,etc.) is:
 Mulch:  $7.68/ton  

 

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION DATE:  2ND SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH.
