SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT -- 

Effective March 7, 2008, the city of Chattanooga will begin enforcing the provisions of sections 210.12(B) Second Paragraph and 410.73(G).

Section 210.12(B) Second Paragraph requires that all AFCI devices be combination rated.  This means that the AFCI will operate on either a series or a parallel fault condition.

Section 410.73(G) requires a disconnect means for fluorescent luminaires that contain double ended lamps and containing a ballast that can be serviced in place.

When utilizing Electrical Power for Carnivals, Circuses, Fairs, Block Parties, Performance Shows, Trades Shows, Concerts, and Similar Events, please download and review the Point of Contact form (Adobe pdf) and the Requirements Form (Adobe pdf). 

Before digging in the parks or erecting a tent with stakes longer than 1 foot, you must notify the Tennessee One Call to mark public utilities and Chattanooga Parks Maintenance to mark any private utilities located within the potential digging area.
