                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 4823
                   HIGHWAY 58, BEING OFF THE NORTHWEST LINE OF
                   HIGHWAY 58 NORTHEAST OF OAKWOOD DRIVE, FROM R-1
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND A PORTION OF R-2
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL
                   ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 4823 Highway 58, being
                off the northwest line of Highway 58 northeast of
                Oakwood Drive.  Part of an unplatted tract, being
                all of the property described as Tract 3 in deed
                book 4562, page 538, ROHC, with the exception of
                the northwest 50 feet of said tract.  Tax Map No.
                120O-H-24 (part).
               
         from R-1 Residential and R-2 Residential Zone to C-2 
Convenience
         Commercial Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Approve for C-2 for R-1 area and for 100 feet of the 
R-2
                   area leaving a 50 foot buffer between the site and
                   Teakwood Lane.
        
              2.   Subject to a landscaped screen abutting all 
residential
                   zones.
        
              3.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
