The purpose of the educational opportunities RainSmart offers is to educate citizens on how and why we want to reduce runoff from our properties. 

  • Anyone can participate in our workshops.
  • Home owners and volunteers can be part of a hands-on workshop that will instruct them on how landscape BMP's (Best Management Practices) can influence water quality, as well as showing them how to design and construct BMP's. The homeowners will receive technical guidance on the specifics of their project, and may be reimbursed for costs of up to $1,000 by the City.
