City of Chattanooga Internship: Summer 2014

Purpose: Open up more opportunities; get young adults excited about working for the City of Chattanooga; and retain Chattanooga's best and brightest young adults

· Five applicants will be selected as interns for June 2 – June 30, 2014

· Students must be juniors or seniors in college or recent graduates

· Students must commit to working 40 hours a week

· Students will be paid $1500 for their participation.

· Students must be available to work during the hours of 8:00 and 4:30, Monday Friday. Interns will coordinate schedules with the Department Head/Supervisor.

· Students MUST be available on Fridays from 1:00-3:00 for mandatory professional development and community service activities.

Timeline:

· Send resume by May 2nd, 2014 to oma@chattanooga.gov with INTERNSHIP in subject

· Once resume is received, applicants will receive notification to complete essay questions.

· Once essay questions are completed, applicants will then be notified if they have received an invitation for an interview, Interviews will take place between May 20-23,2014.
