09-28-17 MDA Ambassador Kicks Off Firefighter Fundraising Drive for MDA
Chattanooga, TN -- MDA Ambassador Luke Dotson, his older sister Lily and his mother Wendy got to have some fun this morning when they gave the signal that started Chattanooga fire companies off on their fundraising drive today for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Luke has a form of muscular dystrophy and he said he truly appreciates what the firefighters are trying to do for him and many other children afflicted by these terrible muscle diseases.

09-27-17 Fire at Brainerd Road Gas Station
At 9:31 a.m. today, a single engine company was dispatched to 4711 Brainerd Road to the Delta Express gas station on a reported brush fire. Quint 13 arrived on scene, established command, and found a large pile of dirt under an awning that was smoking and flaring up. Command made contact with PM Environmental personnel on scene that had been replacing underground fuel lines at the gas station. The pile of dirt was saturated with gasoline and had ignited from an unknown ignition source.

09-26-17 Hazardous Materials Call at CARTA
To All Local News Media:
Chattanooga, Tenn. -- This morning the Chattanooga Fire Department responded a call to assist Hamilton County EMS who was on the scene of a female that had a unknown liquid thrown in her face. EMS advised that there was a female with burns to her face and she was transported to a local hospital. The Fire Department responded with 15 companies which included our Haz-Mat team. The liquid was tested on the scene and found to be non-life
