Station 6

Station 6 is located at:
4500 Bonny Oaks Dr.
Chattanooga, TN  37416

Station 6 was built in 1976. The total number of personnel assigned to this station is 14, 5 on Red shift, 5 on Green shift and 4 on Blue shift. Our apparatus is the newest in the department. It was received last year and is a 'Gladiator Classic' made by Spartan, Incorporated.  District 6 is one of the largest, if not the largest, in the City.  It spans from the Highway 58 area to the Hamilton County line at Champion Rd, to Ooltewah at Hunter Road and going from one end of Highway153 backing up 19's to the other end backing up 8's, 13's and 21's district.  We also have Water Tender 6, which is a tanker used for brush fires and interstate vehicle fires when large amounts of water is needed where hydrants aren't available.  Also assigned at our station is HM3, which serves as an excellent piece of equipment for fire fighting since it carries a large amount of 'Purple K', which is a dry chemical fire suppression agent. HM3 was placed here to serve on high alert calls at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

The Station Coordinator is Captain David Peace. He can be reached at peace_david@chattanooga.gov.
