Health Insurance

The City of Chattanooga has contracted with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee to provide two options for health insurance. Employees can elect a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan or a High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account (HDHP/HSA). Both of these plans have two network options; Network P offers a larger provider group and Network S offers a limited number of providers at a reduced premium. The City also offers two optional Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), one for dependent care and one for healthcare, that enable employees to spend pre-tax dollars for qualified medical expenses like co-pays, deductible and co-insurance as well as dependent care. Employees with a full-time or part time "regular" status are eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following thirty days of employment.

Please refer to the City of Chattanooga Employee Benefits Center for detailed information about current employee benefit plans and premiums. No logon is required.
