Mayors Youth Council

MYC photoThrough the Mayor's Youth Council, area high school students share their ideas and their concerns about issues young people face today. From advising the Mayor on key priorities to acting as a liaison between the school hall and City Hall, the Mayor's Youth Council works together to give a voice to young people across our community. Mayor Berke understands that in order to have effective local Government -- everyone needs a seat at the table.

The Mayor's Youth Council is a diverse and engaged group of approximately 30 high school juniors and seniors from across Chattanooga. Applications are open to all high school juniors or seniors who reside in the City of Chattanooga - that includes students who attend public schools, private schools, or are home schooled. Applications for the 2016/2017 Mayor's Youth Council are now open!
