It's all about the neighborhoods... The Department of Neighborhood Services and Community Development enforces City codes, works with neighborhood associations and manages funding from HUD to make Chattanooga's neighborhoods a better place to live, work and play.

What We Do:

Code Enforcement
Oversees code enforcement for housing, litter, overgrowth and abandoned vehicles

Community Development
Manages U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding

Neighborhood Relations
Liaison between neighborhood associations and City government

The Department of Neighborhood Services and Community Development is dedicated to maintaining Chattanooga's neighborhoods by identifying revitalization opportunities, fostering community partnerships, cultivating neighborhood based leadership, and engaging in active code enforcement to create viable living environments that enhance the quality of life for all residents.
