What We Do:

The City of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide range of recreation programs and services.

The City of Chattanooga Recreation Division provides diverse recreation and leisure opportunities for all ages and abilities in a safe well maintained environment.  Our goal is to build relationships, create partnerships, and facilitate programs for our community. In just 2012 alone, the Recreation Division offered hundreds of programs that were family friendly and affordable.

Who We Are: 

The City of Chattanooga operates 17 neighborhood community centers.  Each of these centers serve youth, teens, adults, families, and senior citizens with a variety of classes and life-long learning, sports and wellness programs, enrichment and social activities.  The centers are equipped with meeting rooms, classrooms, gymnasiums, and public outdoor spaces that include playgrounds, sports fields, walking trails, and outdoor pavilions.  Three of the recreation centers: Brainerd, Carver, and South Chattanooga have public swimming pools.  Some of the centers have special rooms for art, dance, recreational games, and house neighborhood reading centers/libraries.Click on "Recreation Centers" for a listing of the neighborhood recreation centers, their locations, contact information and unique amenities.

Our Exciting Programs:

We offer Therapeutic Recreation Services for Individuals Who Have Disabilities, Champions Club Tennis Complex Programs, Sports,  Aquatics, Fitness,  and many of Outdoor Chattanooga's Exciting Events and OutVenture's Fun Program Activities are all a part of the City's Recreation Division.
