12-14-16 Shooting 7800 block Hancock Dr.

Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 officers with the Chattanooga Police Department were called to a local hospital after a party showed up with injuries indicative of a gunshot wound. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Victim is suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound
• Victim arrived at hospital via personal vehicle
• Victim says he and a friend were walking southbound on Hancock Dr when a suspect in a passing vehicle shot himThere is no suspect information at this time
• The suspect vehicle is described as a large SUV
• Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating all leads in this case
