2-10-17 Aggravated Assault - 100 block O'Neal St.

Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 100 block of O'Neal St. at 11:55 p.m. on February 10, 2017. The following are the preliminary facts of that investigation:

• Upon arrival Chattanooga Police located the victim a block away from O'Neal St holding his bleeding lower abdomen
• HCEMS were called and transported the victim to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries
• Victim and witness statements provided police with a detailed description of the suspect
• Using that description, police were able to locate the suspect moments later in the area
• Police determined that both the suspect and victim were involved in a disorder which escalated and resulted in the suspect brandishing a pocket knife
• During that disorder the suspect reportedly cut the victim in the lower abdomen
• The suspect was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail
