11-5-17 Arrest/Homicide - 1000 block Baldwin St.

ORIGINAL RELEASE (11/5/17):

Chattanooga Police responded to a call of a deceased party in the 1000 block of Baldwin Street at 7:17 p.m. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

• Chattanooga Fire Department personnel arrived at the location for an unconscious party call
• CFD located a gunshot wound on the unconscious party while rendering aid
• Victim was pronounced deceased on scene
• CPD Officers located a person of interest and that party is detained for questioning
• Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident
• CPD is asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100. Callers can remain anonymous and all tips go directly to investigators. ​

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
