12-22-17 Booze It & Lose It Campaign

This campaign is designed to educate our communities on the dangers of driving impaired. Secondly, it is designed to caution those who choose poorly and decide to drive impaired. We are committed to finding them and removing them from our streets in order to prevent the possible injury or loss of life they may bring to our community.

On December 21st, the Chattanooga Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint DUI enforcement initiative for the purpose of preventing fatalities and reducing crashes associated with impaired driving during this holiday season. Our law enforcement partnership as well as focused efforts resulted in 17 DUI arrests that removed impaired and dangerous drivers from our city streets and interstate highways, greatly reducing the chances of a fatal or serious crash. This highly visible initiative also provided the traveling public with enhanced traffic enforcement during one of the busiest travel days of the season.
