6-3-18 Fraud - 5526 Brainerd Rd


When police arrived on scene they were able to locate the suspect and detain him. Investigators discovered that the suspect had 102 re-encoded credit cards which contained stolen debit card information. The suspect also had a large amount of cash. The suspect was taken to the Chattanooga Police Service Center for questioning by Fraud investigators as well as the United States Secret Service. He was charged with 17 counts of criminal simulation with additional charges pending.

The Chattanooga Police would like to encourage our citizens to check their bank statements to see if they have been a victim of debit card fraud. If you find that you are a victim, contact your bank as well as the Chattanooga Police Department to make a report of the loss.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
