6-24-18 Pedestrian Struck/Fatality - 5256 Hwy. 153

• Vehicle #1, a Toyota Sequoia, was traveling north on Hwy 153 in the inside lane
• The pedestrian was attempting to cross Hwy 153 from the west to the east side of the roadway
• Vehicle #1 struck the pedestrian on the roadway and remained on scene until police arrived
• Hamilton County EMS transported the pedestrian in critical condition to a local hospital
• The pedestrian would later succumb to her injuries
• Members of the Chattanooga Police Traffic Division are actively investigating this crash. Charges are pending outcome of investigation.

Driver:

Asher Powers (male, 31)
