UPDATE #1 (6/30/18):

Chattanooga Police Officers arrested 20-year-old Miles Hankins for the homicide of Christopher Robinson.

On June 29, 2018 at 10:10 p.m. Hankins was located by CPD Neighborhood Policing Officers and brought in for questioning by Violent Crimes Bureau Investigators. Mr. Hankins was subsequently charged with Criminal Homicide and Especially Aggravated Robbery. He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

Calls into the CPD Homicide Tip Line contributed to the arrest of Mr. Hankins.

ORIGINAL RELEASE ISSUED 6/29/18:

On June 29, 2018 at 1:26 a.m. the Chattanooga Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Hickory Valley Rd on the report of a person who had been shot. The following are the preliminary facts of that incident:

• Upon arrival, police were able to locate the resident of the home suffering from a gunshot wound
• HCEMS arrived on scene however the victim had already succumbed to his injuries
• Investigators were able to determine that the suspect forcibly entered the residence and shot the victim
• Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident. If you have any information about the incident, please call the Homicide Tip Line at 423-643-5100. You can remain anonymous.

Christopher Robinson (male, 46)

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
