8-26-18 Shooting - 2000 block Rawlings St.


  • Upon arrival Police were unable to locate anyone injured in the area, but did locate several spent shell casings in the area.
  • At approximately 1:45 a.m. Police were advised a victim suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital by way of personal vehicle.
  • Police responded to the hospital and located a male victim with a non-life threatening gunshbot wound to the shoulder.
  • The victim told Police he was sitting in his vehicle and heard several gunshots. The victim stated he discovered he had been shot in the shoulder and left the area before going to the hospital.
  • Investigators with the Violent Crimes Bureau and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene.
  • Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident.

Jeffery Miller (male, 54)

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
