UPDATE: Arrest/8-30-18 Shooting - 100 block E. 19th St.


Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.

SUSPECT: Jonathan Conyers (male, 23)

DOB: 2/14/95

CHARGES: Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm while in Commission of a Felony, Reckless Endangerment

On August 30, 2018 at approximately 12:51 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 100 block of E. 19th St. after hearing shots fired. The following are the preliminary facts of the incident:

 

  • A Chattanooga Police Officer was in the area of E. 19th Ave. & Read Ave. when she heard shots being fired
  • The Officer located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound, immediately rendered aid and called for medical help
  • Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital
  • Victim's injuries are listed as critical
  • Members of the Major Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
