9-19-18 CPD Launches Property Crimes Facebook page
"We want to be able to alert the public on property crimes that happened recently and the suspects or persons of interest we are looking for," said Property Crimes Acting Lieutenant Kevin Akins. "We know that when police and community members work together we can solve crimes quicker, making our community a safer place to live."
The department does have a Facebook page, but uses the platform for all CPD-related matters. The Chattanooga Police Department Property Crimes Facebook page is intended to serve as an additional tool to assist in solving, reducing, and preventing property crimes.
Community members are still encouraged to report property crimes by calling 911 or (423) 698-2525 (non-emergency). Tips can be submitted privately on the Property Crimes Facebook page or through the Chattanooga Police Mobile App that's available in iOS or Android app stores.
