9/22/18 - Traffic Crash/Fatality - 5900 block Hwy 58

• Vehicle #2 was entering Hwy 58 from Congress Ln, when it pulled into the travel path of Vehicle #1 and the two vehicles collided.
• The front of Vehicle #1 collided with the driver side of Vehicle #2.
• Both vehicles rotated around and Vehicle #2 came to rest in the SB lane of Hwy 58, while Vehicle #1 came to rest in the NB lane.
• Driver of Vehicle #1 was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Hamilton County EMS.
• Driver of Vehicle #2 did not survive the crash.
• Members of the Chattanooga Police Traffic Division are actively investigating the crash.

Driver Vehicle #2 (deceased):

Karen Saxton (female, 64)

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
