10-18-18 Arrest of Police Impersonator


 

Pipkens is a suspect in a Home Invasion that occurred on August 11, 2018. The reporting party stated to police she was approached from behind by two black males who held her at gunpoint and told her they were the police. The men forced her into a home along with another individual and held them both against their will. The men fled the premises with cash, personal items, and drugs.

CPD Street Crimes, Fugitive, and Neighborhood Policing Officers along with assistance from federal agents located Charles Pipkens on October 18, 2018 and took him into custody without incident. Pipkens is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

SUSPECT:

Charles Pipkens (male, 27)

DOB: 3/7/91

CHARGES:

Reckless Endangerment, Evading Arrest, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony x 2, Drugs for Resale x 3, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on Revoked or Suspended License, Aggravated Kidnapping x 2, Aggravated Robbery x 2, Criminal Impersonation, Unlawful Carry or Possesion of a Weapon, Aggravated Burglary

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525 or submit an anonymous tip via the Chattanooga PD Mobile App. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
