Rodney Carrington

Comedy show rescheduled from April 8. This multitalented comedian, actor, and writer has recorded eight major record label comedy albums selling over two million copies. Two of these albums have been certified gold by the RIAA. Rodney starred in his own TV sitcom "Rodney," which ran for two seasons on ABC. He also co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film "Beer for My Horses."  According to Pollstar, Rodney was the 4th highest grossing touring comedian in 2009. CSO Masterworks: Symphony No. 5 Schubert and Shostakovich

Straight No Chaser

CSO Masterworks: Midori

World renowned violinist Midori performs with the CSO in Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and Schumann's Symphony No. 3. Robert Bernhardt, Conductor. Midori has given much of her time and talent to helping young musicians. The CSO is one of only two orchestras in the United States that has won the opportunity to host Midori in residency. She will perform with both the CSO Orchestra and CSO Youth Orchestras in concert, as well as participate in master classes, coaching sessions, and various meetings and events to promote music education in the community. The Chattanooga Firefighters Association, Local 820 presents country music recording artist Aaron Tippin with special guest Andy Childs. Tippin has crusaded for the working man and woman since he ripped country music wide open in 1990 with his uncompromising "You've Got To Stand For Something."  On the strength of that remarkable song, Bob Hope invited Tippin to appear with him when he toured the Mideast to entertain the troops of Desert Storm. Tippin has been a favorite of—and a standby for—America's fighting forces ever since.
