Mayor Berke

Mayor Berke is a life-long Chattanooga resident. He was elected to serve as Mayor of Chattanooga on March 5, 2013, winning over 70% of the electoral vote. Previous to his tenure as Mayor, Berke served two terms as the State Senator for Tennessee's 10th district. Mayor Berke has focused his public service on ensuring every child has the opportunity for success, promoting economic development, and ensuring that government budgets on outcomes and effectiveness. In the legislature, he passed key legislation like Tennessee Works, First to the Top, and Complete College Tennessee. Mayor Berke is married to Monique Prado Berke. They have two daughters: Hannah, who is in sixth grade, and Orly, a third grader.
