10-31-14 Be Safe When Heating Your Home
With the arrival of our first serious cold snap, many residents will be using alternative heating appliances to keep warm. The Chattanooga Fire Department would like to offer some pertinent safety tips related to the cold weather and keeping your home warm, as safely as possible:
10-30-14 Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries
Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, November 2nd. When you change your clocks back one hour to Eastern Standard Time before you go to bed, the Chattanooga Fire Department encourages you to change the batteries in your smoke alarms too.

10-27-14 Fire Prevention Week Contest Winners Announced
The Chattanooga Fire Department held its annual Fire Prevention Week awards ceremony today at the Chattanooga Public Library downtown.
10-23-14 Firefighters Respond to Vacant House Fire
Chattanooga firefighters responded to a vacant house fire in the Highland Park area around midnight last night. As fire companies from Station 5 responded to 2014 Wilson Street, Captain Joey Smith with Engine 5 said they could see the flames from blocks away.
